Does Your Burger Need a Lift?

By

If the answer is YES, then you need a Burger Lift!

It’s an elevated coaster for that really juicy burger. The juice drips onto your plate and doesn’t create a soggy bun.

Genius? Or unnecessary?

I like the idea of a non-soggy burger bun, but I’m not sure I’d go to all the trouble of utilizing a Burger Lift.

I’m kinda lazy like that.

What do you think? Do you think all hardcore burger fanatics should have these?

Read more about the idea behind the Burger Lift here.

Epic Face-Off: Burger Vs. Hot Dog

By

As these football playoffs continue, my mind is always on food. I like to eat while watching games – well, and while doing basically anything.

It reminds me of another epic battle:  The one between burgers and dogs.

There are voracious supporters in either camp, but which one is the real winner?

Well, whoever gets to eat it, is what I say!!!!

The ones I like – burgers AND dogs – are all made with beef. So, to me, everyone wins.

But in this poll, burgers were the clear winner in preference.

So what’s your vote? Burgers or hot dogs?

Gorgeous Prime Rib for the New Year

By

We’re all gearing up to ring in 2014 in style. So why not serve a meal that screams, “Special occasion!!!!!”

That would be prime rib. Oh, beautiful, delicious, prime rib.

We make statements with our food. We may not realize it but we do. Cheeseburgers say, “Hey, I’m being casual. Shoes are optional.” But prime rib? That says, “This is important to me and we must celebrate!”

Chef Michael Symon has some excellent advice for making YOUR prime rib the best it can be. See his prime rib tips here.

This one takes time, folks. So if you’re in a hurry the cheeseburgers might be a better option. But if you have the time to do it properly, salt overnight, let it sit after it’s done in the oven – THIS will be a masterpiece.

What better way to usher in the new year???

Dessert Burger!

By

This beautiful creation is a masterpiece of ingenuity – bacon burger PLUS dessert in one!

Called the “Deep-Fried Twinkies Burger,” it’s got a pork and beef patty with bacon and American cheese, squeezed in between 2 deep-fried Twinkies which act as buns.

Of course, let’s not forget the oozy filling inside those buns.

One lady who was lucky (?) enough to taste it remarked, “It tasted like magic in my mouth.”

Enough said.

Read more about this amazing burger here. Might I suggest trying it at home?

If you dare!

Fuel Up With Beef for Halloween

By

It’s almost time to trick or treat!

But in all the excitement of costumes, candy and spookiness, let’s not forget to eat! We’ve all got to keep our strength while traipsing through the neighborhood!

Since tomorrow’s a special night, I recommend trying something a bit different for dinner. I’m gonna make some Wagyu Kobe beef steakburgers.

The kids love them, I love them and the night will be that much memorable!

These aren’t just ANY burgers – they’re Kobe beef. That makes them more flavorful and a bit indulgent.

It’s Halloween – it’s time to be indulgent!

Check out this Kobe beef or serve some USDA prime steaks! Now THOSE scream “Special!” also. And isn’t it a night for special?

Enjoy your Halloween … I hope you get way more treats than tricks!

Burgerbilia and a Hamburger Harley

By

“Hamburger Harry” (seen above), from Daytona Beach, FL, loves burgers SO MUCH that he has been collecting burgerbilia for 23 years.

And he ain’t stopping now.

His collection includes a custom-made cheeseburger bed, a motorcycle shaped like a burger (the Hamburger Harley) and enough patty-themed knickknacks to fill an entire house.

Dude is reminded of his obsession every second of every day. Could YOU do it? Live in hamburger house, ride a hamburger bike and sleep on a burger bed?

I love burgers just as much as the next guy (well, maybe not THIS guy) and I’m pretty sure this would put me on overload. Wanna see more pictures of burgerbilia? Click here.

Love the passion, though, Hamburger Harry! Burger on!

Mac ‘N Cheese Burgers

By

People are always trying to come up with new things to put on top of burgers. But the newest trend taking shape is creating crazy buns for the burgers.

This one, conceived by Rockit Burger Bar, pairs fried macaroni and cheese and a nice, juicy beef patty.

I like both of those. I’m just not sure if my stomach can handle them both at once, though.

Granted, it does look delicious. But it may be too many things going on at one time in my mouth.

What do you think? Are you willing to try this? Could you replicate this at home?

Bacon Cheese Avocado Steakburger!

By

Feast your eyes upon the most beautiful – and delicious – steakburger this household has ever seen!

It is a most masterful creation. And I can’t even take credit for this one. My mother lovingly crafted this baby and we almost didn’t want to eat it. We didn’t want to disturb its beauty and grandeur.

But we ate it anyway.

I mean, let’s see, we’ve got bacon (drool), avocado (good for you) and cheese (makes everything better) on top of a meaty steakburger.

I can’t see anything wrong with this picture.

Try this one yourself. But try to control yourself a little better than we did. We wished we had more time with it before it was gone.

Maybe you’ll have more luck.

But fat chance.

Enjoy!

Megaburgerpizza

By

Want a burger that tastes like a pizza?

Or a pizza that tastes like a burger?

You’re in luck!

You can have both!

It’s the Megaburgerpizza from Pizza Little Party in Japan.

This thing is serious. It’s got several patties with cheese, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard. All this in between two pizza crusts with pizza sauce . . . and cheese you’d find on a pizza.

Hope you’re hungry ’cause this guy is HUGE. I can tell you I think I could only get through one or two bites before calling it a day.

Read more about this burger within a pizza here.

And tell me, would YOU order one?

Burger + Croissant + Donut

By

Behold the cronut. It’s a work of food artistry and masterful advertising all at the same time.

It’s a croissant and donut; thus, a cronut.

BUT NOW, as is the way with these things, a Canadian thinker thought to himself, “I must build upon this tidal wave. I shall add a burger to the mix.”

And now we have the Burger Cronut. This one in particular is a “Maple Bacon Jam Cronut Burger.” Read more about it here.

Delicious.

Your thoughts? Is this genius? Or a shameful ride on a cresting wave?

Either way, I’ll take one!
