Kansas City Strip Steak Video

By

Oh. Yum.

It’s time to get outside and grill! Here’s a great video to help you get the most out of your Kansas City Strips.

It’s amazing how different cuts should be cooked slightly differently to enhance the cut’s flavor. You can really take it to a whole other level if you take the time to really know your beef.

Follow these instructions and see how it works for you!

Or…just watch and enjoy the beauty of a gorgeous steak. I just like to watch it sizzle and cook and imagine the smell.

Then, of course, it makes me want to go grill one.

Happy grilling!

Mom’s Favorite Steak Is…

By

Mother’s Day is over. Did you treat her right?

If there was a steak involved, I say a resounding YES!

Now, we traditionally think of steak as being Dad’s favorite, but if your mom is anything like me – Mom gives Pops a run for his money on this one.

So, tell me, what is your mother’s favorite cut?

I’m a mom and my kids know my favorite is a ribeye. Yummy, yummy ribeye.

But I’ll tell you MY mom’s favorite. Filet mignon. She likes hers butterfly cut.

But everyone’s different. So what’s YOUR mother’s ultimate cut of beef? I’d like to know. Tell me in the comment section!

Steak Fan Club

By

You know, in the age of the Internet, you can find just about ANYTHING you’re looking for – good or bad.

In the “good” department, I have found a Steak Fan Club that just might be something you’re interested in.

They have fun polls (ribeye is the favorite steak) and comment threads – and purty pictures of beef.

Everything a meat-loving girl or boy could want.

If that kind of thing strikes your fancy, head on over to FanPop.com and check out the steak club.

You just might find kindred spirits – or even your soulmate – over there.

Hey, common interests are important!

So check it out and let me know what you think!

Yikes!

So why not spend a little time cooking her a meal you know she’ll love?

Bonus:  YOU will love it, too. But, seriously, that’s just a bonus. This is for her.

Try a little something different with this Steak with Mixed Fruit Salsa recipe, plus a full dinner menu from bread to sides to dessert.

Barbecue – Zac Efron Style

By

Okay, it’s really Santa Maria style, but with a Zac Efron twist.

The actor was recently featured in Parade magazine and asked to share a family recipe. Here is what the cutie, er, um, gentleman said:

“Growing up, we had a nice family dinner every night, and if we had people over, Dad would get on the grill. He is a bit of a chef, so he would always whip up something besides basic hot dogs or hamburgers. We liked trying different things, but this was a staple.”

This fantastic recipe features Top Sirloin marinated in salsa – yes, salsa! – and features a sweet and spicy flavor.

Click here for all the details on Zac Efron’s Santa Maria-style barbecue.

It’s National BBQ Month – so now is the perfect time to try this out!

Enjoy!

And, hey, if this gives you sweet dreams of Zac Efron … it’s not my fault.

These chimichurri nachos made with skirt steak and mozzarella cheese are the perfect way to kick up your heels…and kick back.

They’re not only visually impressive, but the flavor combination of lime, cilantro, vinegar, olive oil, garlic and more make this something you’ll want to experience again and again.

Click here for this enticing recipe. And follow it to a T – you don’t want your chimichurri sauce TOO pureed.

Just saying.

Enjoy… and ole!

Salisbury Steak Surprise

By

Let me just be the first to say that I don’t normally like recipes with the word “surprise” in them.

It conjures up images of mystery meat or something sinister.

But THIS surprise is a GOOD surprise.

This Salisbury Steak recipe includes bleu cheese in the center.

A burst of unexpected flavor that says, “Hello, taste buds!”

But in a good way.

Check out the recipe here and let me know what you think. Can you really ever go wrong with ground sirloin?

I think not.

Enjoy this surprise!
