How to Build a Kabob

How to Build a Kabob

A kabob, when you get right down to it, is grilled steak on a stick.

It’s bite-sized and easy to eat. And who wouldn’t want a steak that’s easy to eat? That sounds like paradise to me.

If you follow these grilling steak tips, you’ll have perfect steaks for kabobs.

But if you REALLY want perfect kabob meat, try these beef tenderloin tips.

They’re juicy and cut perfectly for kabob making. To me, they’re the best cut of steak for a kabob.

Then, customize YOUR kabob with fruits and vegetables that speak to you.

Yes, fruit!

Ever put pineapple on a kabob?

Delish!

How about peaches, plantains or apples?

Yes, it can be done! And it’s delicious!

Don’t forget about the all-important red and green peppers, onions and tomatoes, too. Not only do they flavor your kabob spectacularly, but they make a gorgeous presentation!

Have fun being creative and build a kabob that suits YOU. There really are no rules except that what foods you select must stay on the skewer.

Applesauce? Not so much.

Enjoy some kabobs this weekend – just the way you like them!

Backyard Favorites

Backyard Favorites

Do you love cookouts in the backyard?

Me too!

And there are some essentials that absolutely MUST be included in my cookouts no matter who is coming.

  1. Everybody loves a burger and if there are kids around these are non-negotiable. You grill ‘em and they WILL be eaten.
  2. Top Sirloin Steaks. Why? Because they cook up so well on the grill. These are a crowd pleaser and the flavor is really enhanced when they’re grilled.
  3. Kansas City Strip Steaks. To me, this is a finer cut and it’s really packed with flavor. They’re really juicy when grilled to, say, a medium rare. So delicious!

Steaks are a must-have in my house. And when grilling steak, you’ve gotta think about the best cut of steak for the grill (and your taste buds). Hey, we’ve all got our preferences, right?

All of these essentials are included in this Backyard Favorite combo. And the price is discounted when they’re purchased all together. Bonus!

So invite the neighbors, friends, family, church groups, busloads of tourists, and cook up some backyard favorites this weekend.

You’ll be glad you did!

Beef and Beer Pairings

But we’ve come a long way since then, and there are now specific beers that pair with specific beef or cuts of steak.

Ya gotta love evolution!

Wanting a steak? There’s a beer for that.
