Flintstones Steak

Okay, folks. What kind of steak is portrayed here?

I grew up watching “The Flintstones.” I, too, marveled at the size of that monstrous steak Dino was always panting over.

I’ve heard lore that it is indeed a Porterhouse.

But what do you think?

Is that really what it is – or could it be another cut?

You tell me!

Searing Unthawed Steaks

This cool video from NYTimes.com. instructs us how to sear a steak that hasn’t been thawed. They even use a blowtorch!

If you have one handy. If you don’t, don’t sweat it. 🙂

This is a great way to prepare a steak if you like it rare. It seals in the flavor and keeps the steak crazy juicy.

Check it out and try it this weekend!!

Beef Lover’s Dessert

You love beef. I just know it.

And the perfect ending to a beefy cookout is this precious ice cream “slider.”

Isn’t it adorable?

It’s got chocolate and vanilla ice cream discs with a caramel-nut syrup in a brioche sandwich.

Too cute!

The kids in your life (or the kid in you) will love it!

Click here to see the full recipe for this special dessert!
