Fall Flavor Fun

Soups and stews and casseroles, oh my!

When I think of fall foods, THAT’s what comes to mind.

Spice those recipes up even more with seasonal foods with an autumnal twist.

Add some squash to your soup or stew. Or bake up some apples and sprinkle them with cinnamon as a delicious side – or dessert!

Fall Soup Serving Suggestions

It’s soup and stew time of year – hooray!

So you’ve got your hearty bowl of goodness – beef stew, steak soup – but what do you serve WITH it?

Here are my ideal soup and stew sides…

1. Good ole grilled cheese sandwich. Oh, I can taste the melted cheese right now.

2. Delicious, nutritious salad. The perfect accompaniment.

3. A second serving of soup/stew! ‘Nuff said.

4. Fresh bread. You know, for dipping.

5. Panini sandwich. Delish!

Eat Like the Olympians Do

Winter Olympians need fuel for their bodies.

And one thing they are not in short supply of at the Olympic Training Center? Beef!

This Russian/Ukrainian-themed soup above (called Borscht) meets the standards of many an elite athlete.

Its beefy goodness will be propelling athletes through the rigorous training and competition that is the Olympics.
