Depressed? Eat Your Meat!

Ladies, are you depressed or anxious? It’s time to put the right amount of red meat into your diet!

Or so says a recent Australian study which claims that women who cut out red meat were TWICE as likely to suffer from depression or anxiety.

TWICE AS LIKELY.

We steak enthusiasts have known for a long time that the right amount of red meat in our diets does wonders for us. Mentally and physically.

Now here’s proof!

Steak Joy

This is the sight that made me happy last weekend.

Gimme a steak on a grill and I’m a contented gal. A ribeye and a couple of Kansas City strips have such an effect on me.

What is it about the prospect of eating a beautiful steak that just sends me into orbit? Maybe it’s because I’m pretty much guaranteed I’m gonna like it.

That’s something I don’t find in my everyday life very often.

Plus, things just don’t bother me as much if I’m eating a steak. My kids could be chasing each other around, making extremely high-pitched noises – and I just don’t care as much as I would if I were eating, say, a Lean Cuisine.

I’m looking at this meal as an investment in my mental health. And it’s doing the trick.

Whatever gets you through the day, right?
