Steak in Any Language

Do you even need a translation?

It’s our beloved steak! With what looks like a dollop of ketchup.

We’ll overlook that.

These are children’s toys marketed in Japan. And they look mighty tasty, if not a little plasticky.

See? This is what I’ve been saying. Steak brings people together the world over. No translation needed.

Play With Steak

Check out this old steak toy set found on ebay.

Now, I know that pretending to grill and flip and cook can provide kids with hours of wholesome entertainment. And I want to support that. I really do.

But can we talk about that steak for a minute?

Is that a very yellow layer of fat around the edge? What on earth? So much for marbling.

And the steak’s color? What is that? It’s just not right. I’m afraid this meal’s lucky diner might end up with a pretend case of “upset tummy.”

But, hey! Head on over to ebay and bid if you really want this dynamic playset – if I haven’t taken all of the fun out of it already…

Steak Fun

I don’t know why a person needs this, but it’s cute! It’s a steak dinner made out of felt and fabric.

I’m thinking they’re toys for children with really, really good taste.

Can you imagine your adorable six-month-old baby gnawing on this nice cut of beef with perfect grill marks? I do believe that is a Kodak moment if ever there was one.

I found this over at Pinterest, but it originally came from Etsy. All great handmade things come from Etsy.

Have a great weekend and do yourself a favor – treat yourself to the real thing!
