Five Spice Garlic Marinade

Five Spice Garlic Marinade

Ingredients:

1/2 cups Olive Oil
2 tsp. oregano
1/C cups soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, finely minced
1 c dry sherry
1 Tbs freshly ground black pepper
1/2 Tbs sugar

Direction:
Mix oil, oregano, salt, garlic, sherry, five-spice powder and black pepper
together. Score steaks on both sides and place in large glass casserole dish,
Pour marinade on top of steaks. Marinate overnight in refrigerator turning twice.

Mikey’s Smokin Steak

Ingredients:
1 cup white vinegar
1 oz hot sauce (Texas Pete)
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup fresh ground peppercorns

Directions:
Mix oil, vinegar, and hot sauce together.  Place steaks
in shallow dish and pour mixture over.  Sprinkle – 1/2 of
ground pepper over steaks.  Let set for 20-30 min. in refrig. 
Fire up grill – high heat for 10 min.  Reduce heat to med-low. 
Add steaks.  Cook as desired – just before removing from grill
sprinkle remaining peppercorn over them.  Remove from grill
and serve immediately.

Chocolate Apple Steaks

Chocolate Apple Steaks

Ingredients:
1 can applesauce
1 cup cocoa powder
3 cloves minced garlic
3 tbl fresh ground black pepper
2 tbl soy sauce
2 tbl hot sauce

Directions: 
Mix the applesauce, apple juice, cocoa, garlic,
pepper, soy sauce and hot sauce in a blender or
with your mixer until well blended.  Marinate
steaks for at least 1 hour, longer is better if
time permits.  Removed Steaks from marinade and
cook.  Discard remaining marinade.  Best cooked
over hot coals to rare or medium.
