Fried Food To The Max

I like fried foods.

I like Thanksgiving dinner.

But, nope, I don’t think I’d like my entire Thanksgiving dinner fried up into one ball of grease.

Maybe that’s just me.

See, it’s approaching State Fair time in Texas and that’s when the crazy fryers come out. Fried Nutella. Fried bacon.

And turkey and stuffing rolled in cream corn and corn meal and fried to a crisp. Oh, and served with sides of cranberry sauce AND gravy. (See photo of turkey dinner fried up into a ball above.)

Because it’s not heavy enough. You need GRAVY.

Go ahead. Check out an entire slide show of fried masterpieces here.

You might find something to serve at your next holiday meal. Me? I prefer my turkey this way, thank you.

Burger + Croissant + Donut

Behold the cronut. It’s a work of food artistry and masterful advertising all at the same time.

It’s a croissant and donut; thus, a cronut.

BUT NOW, as is the way with these things, a Canadian thinker thought to himself, “I must build upon this tidal wave. I shall add a burger to the mix.”

And now we have the Burger Cronut. This one in particular is a “Maple Bacon Jam Cronut Burger.” Read more about it here.

Delicious.

Your thoughts? Is this genius? Or a shameful ride on a cresting wave?

Either way, I’ll take one!

Most Expensive Hot Dogs

If you love hot dogs (and we know you love beef) then these incredibly expensive (yet amazingly tasty) dogs just might be for you!

Take Exhibit A above. It’s a foot long, is infused with 100-year-old cognac and topped with lobster and Kobe beef. It costs $100.

Then there’s a 3/4 pound beef frank with moose cheese from Sweden, bacon and mustard from France. That’ll set you back about $145.

For. One. Hot. Dog.

Check out all the expensive hot dogs here. Maybe it’ll give you ideas for a pricey dog of your own!
