Fall Food Faceoff: KC vs. Philly Cheesesteak

Sandwich Steaks

It’s safe to say if you’re a steak lover you know what a Philly cheesesteak is. Thinly, thinly sliced top sirloin with ooey gooey cheese and whatever else you crave – peppers, onions, etc.

But, what’s a Kansas City cheesesteak? Well, see above, my friends. It’s a variation, but a distinct difference. Want a fantastic KC cheesesteak recipe? Try this one.

Now, once you’ve partaken of both cheesesteak varieties, tell me, which one wins the faceoff? KC cheesesteak or Philly cheesesteak?

The fate of a city is in your hands.

Choose wisely.

Beef Monster

I love it when playing with your food is deemed acceptable.

And New York artist Kasia Haupt has made it cool to do just that.

She’s created sandwich monsters as a form of art. And she’s getting raves for it.

The creation above is a Philly cheesesteak wonder. But perhaps this one is more your style…

Steak tartare maybe? You’ve got to admit, these show some incredible creativity! Check out all of Haupt’s food creations here.

What do you think? Do you like these monster sandwiches? Or do they make you lose your appetite?

Halloween Cheese Steak Hat

Continuing on with our All Hallow’s Eve theme, here’s a doozy to impress the neighbors.

Philly cheese steak, people.

To really, truly pull this one off, though, you must first master the smirkish face that totally makes or breaks this costume.

Envision yourself as a stand-up comedian working a Bennigan’s bar in the suburbs of Cleveland circa 1986 and you might just come close to this face.

You’ve been a great crowd. Good night!
