Surprising Facts About Lean Beef

You love beef. But you’ve heard the nonsense about red meat.

There’s some great information out this month debunking some myths we’ve heard. Just click here to read it.

It’s great news and it always helps to arm yourself with the facts.

Here’s one of my favorites:  Lean beef eaten every day as part of a heart-healthy diet can lower LDL cholesterol levels (you know, the bad stuff) by as much as 10 percent.

That’s awesome!

My favorite extra lean beef are these AHA-certified babies.

Stay healthy, my friends. And keep eating your beef!

National Nutrition Month: Focus on Lean Meat

Since March is National Nutrition Month, there’s a lot of talk about eating healthy out there.

We steak lovers strive to be healthy, too, so I thought we might like a refresher on what the leanest cuts of meat actually are.

And where’s the best place to get this information? The American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics at EatRight.org.

Click here to see the full answer to the question:  “Which cuts of meat are considered lean?”

And when you’re ready to incorporate some sirloin into your weekly menus, you can order some fantastic beef that has been certified extra lean by the American Heart Association here.

What are YOUR goals for this National Nutrition Month???

Special Steaks for American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month to raise awareness of heart disease.

In honor of that, why not try some heart healthy steaks certified by the American Heart Association?

These steaks are very, very lean and are trimmed of all exterior fat. The beautiful thing is – that doesn’t compromise the hearty sirloin taste!

Healthy AND tasty? Sounds good to me.

Click here to read more about and order up some lean steaks for yourself!
