Steak Saw

Ever seen one of these?

It’s a steak saw. Yes, a steak saw.

It seems to me that if you have to “saw” your steak, something is terribly, terribly wrong.

But steak saws are actual products sold on Amazon.com.

Now, I’ve loved steak for a long time, and in all that time I have never heard of a steak saw. The Amazon.com description reads, “Saw your way through great steak!”

Doesn’t that sound inviting? Wouldn’t you love to host a dinner party and after all the guests are seated, start passing out saws? You KNOW they’ll be excited about their meals then!

You tell me, have you ever used a steak saw? And if so, did you enjoy your meal?

Perfect Steak Cooker

There is something in the U.K. called the “Steak Appreciation Society.” I must delve into this more deeply.

But for now, here is something they have unearthed that may revolutionize your steak cooking from this day forward. . .

Or not. You decide.

It’s called the Perfect Steak cooker and it has a grill and timer to help you cook – you guessed it – that perfect steak every time.

It’s available on Amazon.com here:  http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perfect-Steak-temperature-vegetables-perfection/dp/B001644WLM

Note the U.K. URL. Apparently they have really good stuff over there that we don’t have. Jealous.

Check out this device and let me know what you think. In the meantime, I shall investigate this Steak Appreciation Society and report back.

Is it weird that I’m starting to talk like Harry Potter now? Hmmpf. I can’t help myself.

Steakburgers Make Me Happy

This was the scene on Labor Day. Grilling. Chilling. Peacefulness.

Except for the minor mishap with that burger in front. Not sure what happened there. It somehow got split in two.

I got to eat that one. That’s what moms do.

But it tasted fantastic all the same.

Those other delights on the grill are bratwurst. We had ourselves a little combo going and our friends who came over thought they had died and gone to heaven.

We had a little football on TV, some meat on the grill and all was well.

THAT’S something to be thankful for. And that’s what we’ll be thinking on Sunday as we remember what happened in our country 10 YEARS AGO.

I can’t believe 9/11/01 was 10 years ago. It feels like yesterday in my mind. My kids weren’t even born then. But they know about 9/11 and we’ll discuss it again.

Just being here is something to be thankful for. And we’ll remember those who aren’t. I hope you will too.
