Beef Facts

I’ve found a cool resource for everything beef. It’s from the Beef Checkoff program and it’s called FactsAboutBeef.com.

Naturally, it’s a site that provides just what it says . . . facts about beef.

It’s got answers to questions about nutrition, animal care, the environment, safety — even recipes.

And it’s a great place to go for all your beef-related news.

Check out the site here and you, too, can keep abreast of all things beef!

Fresh vs. Aged Beef

Here’s an informative video about the benefits of choosing aged beef (think flavor and tenderness) over “fresh” beef.

The term is misleading because, sure, we all want something that is “fresh” but aged is definitely the better way to go when you’re talking steak.

It’s cool to know the science behind it all. And dude is wearing a lab coat so you know he knows stuff. 😉

Check it out and then YOU will be in the know!

Stolen Steaks — Where’s Your Moral Compass?

So, a man and a woman were caught red-handed with a truck full of stolen steaks a couple of weeks ago.

This makes me want to cry.

TBoneSteak1

Those steaks were meant for someone else — and they will never see them!

Times are tough, but stealing someone’s steaks? It’s unthinkable.

If there is ONE THING in this world that should be sacred, it’s someone’s steak. Recession or no recession.

Read here if you want to know more about the misery these two brainiacs inflicted: http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2009/11/post_51.html

Let this be a lesson to all would-be steak burglars — HANDS OFF!
